Bees will miss some key players for Manchester United clash

Keith Andrews is looking on the bright side after his Brentford team drew five Premier League matches on the spin, saying it proves they are ‘hard to beat’.

The Bees’ last victory came against Burnley in February, and have since endured stalemates with Bournemouth, Wolves, Leeds, Everton and Fulham. That run was interspersed with an FA Cup defeat by West Ham, which was also level after 90 minutes and settled on penalties.

“I think we've been closer to victories than losses if we’re honest with the appraisal of our performances,” he mused. “The players will discuss it brilliantly amongst themselves about how we can fine-tune certain parts of our game.

“Performance levels overall have been very good. I was very happy with our game against Fulham (0-0 draw). I thought we played particularly well, we controlled large parts of the game and played with the freedom I like.

“I thought it was a step forward from the Everton game (2-2 draw). I thought there was a lot to like.

“I think we're difficult to beat, clearly. I think that's grown as the season has gone on and now we are looking for those margins to give us three points.”

Brentford’s winless run will number 58 days by the time they arrive at Old Trafford, and Andrews will be without three key players for the match.

He confirmed that while Rico Henry, Vitaly Janelt and Jordan Henderson are all back on the grass, none of them will make the journey to the northwest.

“They're doing well, I've just walked past all three of them. They've done a session away from the rest of the group.

“They're back on the grass. Making good progress, all slightly different in terms of when I think they will back. But none available for Monday.

“The rest of the team will be in and around what it was last week."
