Brentford has issued an update on Benjamin Arthur, Josh Dasilva and Antoni Milambo ahead of Sunday’s Premier League game against Newcastle United (2pm kick-off GMT), live on Sky Sports.

The Bees return to Gtech Community Stadium this weekend, having lost just once at home in all competitions this term.

Milambo underwent anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction on Tuesday. The midfielder will now begin the initial stages of his rehabilitation at the club.

In his pre-match press conference, Keith Andrews added: "I’ve just seen Antoni Milambo around an hour ago, he’s on crutches but looks good.

"The operation went well so we’ll look after Antoni and make sure he gets up to speed, and really integrate him into the football club, which we’re big on.

"Josh Dasilva is back on the grass and he’s doing pretty well."

Arthur is back in full training, having recovered from an injury just below his knee picked up in the cup win at Grimsby.

Dasilva has had a long recovery from an ACL repair, with two subsequent surgeries towards the end of last season.

He is now in a good position and back on the grass, continuing to build his fitness. The plan is for him to return to team training next month and be reintegrated from there.
