Looking to build on their emphatic midweek victory, Crystal Palace welcome capital foes Brentford to Selhurst Park for Saturday afternoon’s Premier League London derby.

The Eagles once again devoured familiar prey, Liverpool, in their last outing, dumping the FA Cup runners-up out of the EFL Cup with a commanding 3-0 victory in the fourth round.

That success snapped Palace’s four-match winless streak (D1, L3) across all competitions.

During that drop off, Palace plummeted to 10th place in the Premier League table and also suffered a shock defeat against AEK Larnaca in the Europa Conference League.

The Eagles bounced back in fantastic fashion and must now build on that victory in the upcoming crunch clash against a resurgent Brentford side that will head into the game on the back of successive wins.

To raise the stakes even higher, Palace have lost their last two meetings with the Bees, and the most recent defeat came at Selhurst Park back in January.

How Palace could line up

Palace welcome Brentford to South London with at least five players ruled out of the game.

The Eagles will be forced to shuffle the pack, with manager Oliver Glasner expected to make three changes from the Liverpool victory.

The first change will likely see Dean Henderson reclaim his spot ahead of Walter Benitez despite keeping a clean sheet against in midweek.

The rearguard will likely remain unchanged. Chris Richards is only just returning from a calf problem, and Glasner will prefer to ease him into action to avoid a relapse.

That said, impressive 19-year-old talent Jaydee Canvot could be handed his first Premier League start, lining up alongside Maxence Lacroix and the highly sought-after Marc Guehi.

Daniel Munoz should continue at right wing-back while Tyrick Mitchell is poised to reclaim his place on the left ahead of Borna Sosa.

With Adam Wharton yet to recover from an illness, Will Hughes and Daichi Kamada will continue to anchor the midfield.

Jean-Philippe Mateta is also expected to return to the XI in place of Eddie Nketiah, with a double supporting cast of Ismaila Sarr and Yeremy Pino.
