Brighton boss Hurzeler confirms another injury blow ahead of derby clash | OneFootball

Yasin Ayari will not be available for Brighton’s clash against rivals Crystal Palace due to a shoulder injury.

However, Diego Gomez is fit to return after missing out on last week’s match against Everton, where Brighton were held to a 1-1 draw.

Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler said: “It’s not a big issue but Yasin won’t be an option.”

Mats Wieffer is slowly nearing a return from a toe injury that has kept him out of action since December. Hurzeler also hinted that academy prospect Harry Howell could get some minutes this weekend.

Brighton have won just one of their last 11 matches, but the Seagulls boss played down his side’s poor run of form. He said: “I think it’s very important to stay calm, to stay predictable for everyone and make sure that we don’t get too many highs and too many lows.”

Hurzeler added: “I will take the ownership and I’m quite convinced that at the end of the season we will be where we want to be.”
