Calhanoglu ‘unlikely to be fit’ for Coppa Italia final on 13 May | OneFootball

Hakan Calhanoglu is still training separately from his Inter teammates and is unlikely to be fit for the Coppa Italia final against Lazio on 13 May.

He is out of this weekend’s match, and Sky Sport Italia reports that his chances of featuring in the final are very slim.

Inter sealed the Scudetto with three rounds to spare, but return to Serie A on Saturday against Lazio. The sides then meet again on Wednesday at the Stadio Olimpico for the Coppa Italia final, offering Inter the chance of a Double.

Calhanoglu has endured a series of injuries this season, the latest a left thigh problem. With the World Cup on the horizon for Türkiye, he is in no mood to take big risks.

Francesco Pio Esposito could also miss out after a back issue that forced him off at half-time in the win over Parma, and he is not fully healed. With Lautaro Martinez not being rushed back either, Ange-Yoan Bonny should partner Marcus Thuram up front.

Luis Henrique is back in training after a right thigh twinge and should be in the squad this weekend.
