Campbell strikes late as Charlton edge Stoke

Charlton Athletic beat Stoke City 1-0 at The Valley as Tyreece Campbell struck late on Wednesday night, a result that keeps Charlton 18th in the Championship.
In the sixth minute, Harry Clarke headed against the bar from close range after a corner, before Jesuran Rak-Sakyi hit the woodwork at the other end (17.).
Thomas Kaminski tipped away Lamine Cissé's drive (59.) and then held Tatsuki Seko's effort (76.) as Stoke pressed.
After Tyreece Campbell came on (61.), Charlton carried the greater threat. The substitute forced Tommy Simkin into a low save (70.) before sweeping in from Lyndon Dykes' headed pass (81.).
Four minutes of second half stoppage time were indicated as Charlton saw it out.
Charlton registered 17 attempts and struck the woodwork once. Stoke managed six attempts despite seeing 64.1% of the ball.
Next, Charlton host Portsmouth. Stoke welcome Fulham in the FA Cup.
