Yesterday, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang suffered an injury during the Ligue 1 match against AS Monaco while playing for Olympique de Marseille, after experiencing pain in his left thigh. The former Arsenal captain now appears set to miss the December 24 clash against Cameroon. His availability for the December 28 encounter with Mozambique will depend on how his injury progresses.

More bad news for Gabon: forward Michel Mboula has also been ruled out of CAN 2025. The FC Metz player suffered a relapse of a left thigh injury in September, and despite being initially called up, the club and national team medical staff have concluded he is not fit to return to top-level competition or withstand the required intensity.
