CD Castellón have re-signed Raúl Sánchez on a permanent deal, the wing-back returning to SkyFi Castalia after a brief spell with Necaxa. The move rounds off a frenetic day that also saw the departures of Nick Markanich and Kenneth Mamah.

According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, his summer transfer to Necaxa was for one million euros with a 10% sell-on clause, and he now returns for a smaller fee. He was, for a few days, the club’s record sale until Daijiro Chirino left for UD Almería.

At Necaxa, Sánchez made 13 competitive appearances, 10 in the Apertura and three in the ongoing Clausura.

During the break between tournaments he visited La Plana and went to SkyFi Castalia.

His first spell at Castellón was noted for commitment, professionalism and leadership on and off the pitch. In total, he has 112 appearances, including 34 in Segunda, and 25 goals for the club.

The Voulgaris administration brings back a regular starter and last season’s top scorer.
