Cedric Kaze speaks out about Kaizer Chiefs' goal scoring problem!

While a nerve-shredding penalty victory secured their passage in the CAF Confederation Cup, the underlying tension at Kaizer Chiefs remains palpable. The Glamour Boys narrowly edged past Angola's Kabuscorp SCP, surviving a 5-4 penalty shootout after a grueling 1-1 aggregate stalemate, but the win did little to mask a growing concern that hangs over the squad.

The team's journey was a tale of two legs: a narrow 1-0 away defeat followed by a tense 1-0 home victory, secured by Glody Lilepo's crucial goal at a charged FNB Stadium. This pattern of minimal scoring, however, is far from a new development. It has become a persistent theme casting a shadow over the start of their new campaign.

Across their last seven matches in all competitions, the sight of the ball hitting the net more than once has eluded Amakhosi.

What did Cedric Kaze say about this issue!

Kaze did not shy away from diagnosing the problem, explaining to the media at FNB Stadium that the team's creative efforts are consistently unraveling at the last second. He elaborated:

“I would say that situations are different; the last pass and the last movement in attack have not been good. I have to say that the chances were there and the last passes were there, but the only thing that we do is to keep working. The good thing is that going into the next game, we will have more options and more players that are going to be available, and we hope that is going to help.”

Kaze said.

This technical deficiency has translated into tangible struggles on the domestic front. The Naturena-based club finds itself in a precarious patch, winless in their last two league outings. A jarring 3-1 defeat to Sekhukhune United was followed by a frustrating 1-1 draw with Marumo Gallants, results that have only heightened the urgency to rectify their fortunes.
