Ahead of Celtic FC's pre-season fixture against Shelbourne in Dublin, Celtic FC Foundation is proud to announce a new partnership with Merchants Quay Ireland, marking another significant step in the Foundation's commitment to supporting communities across Ireland.

This new partnership reflects the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to Ireland by investing funds into projects and services that make a meaningful difference to people and communities across the country.

Initially, the partnership will focus on Jane's Place – just one of Merchants Quay Ireland's projects. Jane’s Place is a one-stop-shop approach, offering daytime support services for women experiencing homelessness, addiction, trauma and social exclusion. The service provides a safe, welcoming environment where women can access meals, healthcare, counselling and advocacy designed to help them rebuild their lives.

Looking ahead, Celtic FC Foundation also hopes to extend its Paradise Pit Stop in the Community initiative to Dublin, extending the project’s geographical reach. Paradise Pit Stop in the Community builds on the success of the Foundation's Paradise Pit Stop initiative based at Celtic Park, which has provided free hot food, essential toiletries, clothing and other everyday essentials to individuals and families facing financial hardship.

By delivering support through local services, the project enables Celtic FC Foundation to reach more people, in more communities, ensuring assistance is accessible, dignified and responsive to local need.

Speaking about the new partnership, Head of Foundation, Donna-Marie Henry said:

“Following our visit to Jane’s Place, we were reminded of what an exceptional facility it is and how vital it is in supporting women experiencing homelessness in Dublin. We’re delighted to play a part through this partnership and look forward to developing and strengthening our relationship in the years to come.”
