Chelsea have reportedly agreed a deal to sell Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to Everton in the summer transfer window.
With the new season just 11 days away, the Toffees are desperate to get new signings through the door having allowed 11 players leave the club in the past two months.
Chelsea, on the other hand, are eager to offload fringe players from their bloated squad after bringing in seven new signings this summer.
Dewsbury-Hall looks set to be the eighth senior player to depart Stamford Bridge in this window as Sky Sports News report Chelsea have agreed to sell him to Everton. He was also linked with a move to Fulham.
The deal will the Merseyside outfit pay an initial transfer fee of £25m add-ons that “could increase it to somewhere in the region of £29m”. The midfielder is “expected” to undergo a medical.
Despite reuniting with former Leicester boss Enzo Maresca only last year, Dewsbury-Hall has struggled to find gametime in the Premier League at Chelsea, starting just twice in the top flight last season.
David Moyes has made it a “priority” to improve his midfield ahead of next season, with Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi another player “they like”.
Everton have seen two bids for Southampton winger Tyler Dibling rejected, while they have also been linked with moves for Manchester City’s Jack Grealish and Lyon winger Malick Fofana.
Meanwhile, Lesley Ugochukwu is set to follow Dewsbury-Hall out the door at Chelsea after the club agreed a deal with Burnley. The midfielder has been granted permission to travel for medical tests ahead of the move.
Carney Chukwuemeka is also expected to leave SW6, with Borussia Dortmund in talks with Chelsea over a permanent transfer.
