Enzo Maresca says Wesley Fofana is “completely fine” after suffering an eye injury in the Champions League loss to Atalanta.
The French defender was forced off after taking a boot to the eye but has recovered in time for the game against Everton on Saturday.
Cole Palmer is also available having missed the Champions League loss due to his minutes being managed, having recently returned from injury.
“He [Cole Palmer] finished the session with us yesterday with a mixed feeling, but he’s okay,” Maresca said.
Maresca’s side have struggled for form recently, having not won in the last four games.
“It’s football and it’s completely normal,” the Blues boss said on his team’s recent run.
“We are always looking for problems and things we need to solve. The Leeds game was eight or nine days ago, we are not going to change our season because we didn’t get the points we expect. I’m completely relaxed. It’s football, that’s the reason why we drop points.
“I think during the season, the ones that are more consistent, they are the teams that are going to be there.
“In terms of human beings, it’s impossible to be at the same level for the whole season but we need to learn things for the future.”
