Christian Oliva has been registered in the CBF’s BID, clearing the Uruguayan midfielder to make his Santos debut. His contract runs until 2028.

According to Diario Do Peixe, Santos will pay about 1.5 million dollars to Nacional (Uruguai) for 25% of his economic rights.

Oliva had been training with the club for several weeks and was only unveiled last Saturday, after a transfer ban triggered by a debt to Arouca (Portugal) was paid and the sanction lifted.

He is now available to head coach Vojvoda for the Brasileirão, as well as this year’s Copa Sul-Americana.

With the window closing, Santos have four reinforcements to start the year, namely midfielders Gabriel Menino and Christian Oliva, plus forwards Rony and Moisés.

Oliva turns 30 in June. He came through Bella Vista’s youth system before making his professional debut for Nacional, then joined Cagliari, initially on loan and later permanently. He subsequently had a loan spell at Valencia, moved to Talleres, spent time on loan at Juárez, and returned to Nacional in 2024.
