Christian Oliva was at Santos’ CT Rei Pelé on Wednesday, meeting the squad and beginning fitness work as the club’s new midfield reinforcement, though confirmation remains subject to paperwork and registration.
The 29-year-old underwent tests on Tuesday, then worked on conditioning. According to Globo.com, he is awaiting documents to obtain a work visa, and only once that is resolved and his name appears on the CBF’s BID will the club announce him.
The session coincided with the squad’s return after two days off earlier in the week.
Head coach Juan Pablo Vojvoda began preparations with almost the full group for Sunday’s Paulista quarter-final against Novorizontino in Novo Horizonte, staging technical and tactical drills.
Adonis Frías was absent from full training as he started on-field physical transition work, while Zé Rafael remained with the physios as he continues treatment for patellar tendinitis in his left knee.
Peixe are scheduled to train again on Thursday afternoon, once more at CT Rei Pelé.
