Jamal Musiala is continuing to work on his comeback – but FC Bayern are currently focusing on patience. Coach Vincent Kompany has now given an update on the current situation and emphasized one thing above all: there is no time pressure

The attacking player is currently missing for Munich due to ongoing problems with his ankle, and Musiala has deliberately not been called up for the upcoming international matches in order to give him the time he needs to fully recover

Kompany made it clear at the matchday press conference ahead of the Bundesliga clash against Union Berlin that the focus is currently exclusively on individual development. „There is no team training during the international break. All the players are away. We are always in very close contact with Jamal – depending on how he is developing and how he feels.“

The 39-year-old emphasized that Musiala is currently working away from team training. „At the moment, everything is individual. He’ll come back into the group at the right time.“

Kompany did not want to give a definitive answer as to whether Musiala will be ready to return in time for the Champions League clash against Real Madrid

„It’s not just about his ankle“

This approach shows how cautiously FC Bayern are treating their key player, and after the recent setbacks, they are keen to avoid returning too soon

Despite the unclear return, Kompany remains optimistic. It’s not just about the damaged ankle, but also about the playmaker’s overall physical condition. „It’s not just about his ankle, it’s also about his fitness.“

The coach sees clear progress here: „He has improved physically, he is more stable. He radiates maturity.“

Looking ahead to the coming months and the World Cup, Kompany expressed his confidence: „I hope it will keep getting better until the World Cup. I’m not worried, it will keep getting better.“

The message from Munich is clear: Musiala should not come back quickly, but properly. FC Bayern is focusing on a sustainable build-up – in the hope that the attacking star will soon be able to fully attack again.
