The 2025-26 Copa del Rey last-16 draw has delivered standout ties, with Albacete hosting Real Madrid and Racing meeting Barcelona, while Deportivo de La Coruña face Atlético de Madrid.
According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, the draw took place at the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas and was not an open draw, giving the Supercopa quartet a theoretical advantage against second-tier opponents.
The 16-team line-up was completed on Tuesday when Rayo Vallecano knocked out Granada in the final round-of-32 tie, postponed because Rayo had a Conference League fixture during that window.
Those pairings set Albacete-Real Madrid, Racing-Barcelona, Cultural Leonesa-Athletic and Deportivo de La Coruña-Atlético de Madrid, with Burgos hosting Valencia.
The all-top-flight ties are Betis-Elche, Real Sociedad-Osasuna and Alavés-Rayo Vallecano.
All eight ties will be single-leg affairs played between Tuesday 13 and Thursday 15 January 2026.
Later on Wednesday at 16.30, the federation will draw the Copa de la Reina Iberdrola quarter-finals, single-leg and without conditions.
The participants are Barcelona, the holders, Atlético de Madrid, Real Madrid, Real Sociedad, Madrid CFF, FC Badalona Women, Costa Adeje Tenerife and Athletic Club, with matches between 3 and 5 February.
