According to Meu Timao, Corinthians have held talks with Milan over the potential sale of André Luiz, with a €15 million offer, about R$ 90 million, that could rise to almost R$ 103 million in bonuses. The fixed fee sits below the midfielder’s domestic release clause.

André extended his deal in August until the end of 2029, inserting two release clauses, R$ 112 million for Brazilian clubs and €100 million for foreign sides. If a deal is concluded, the Italians would pay almost R$ 10 million less than the domestic clause.

The relatively low domestic figure has unsettled Corinthians supporters should the player remain, since such clauses are intended to protect clubs from approaches. Internationally there is no cap, but Brazilian rules limit domestic clauses to a maximum of 400 times a player’s salary.

Talks have stalled in recent hours, with Corinthians believing they can secure a higher fee and stepping back after Dorival Júnior’s strong post-match outburst following the game against Novorizontino on Saturday night. Director Marcelo Paz also said the decision rests with president Osmar Stabile. Any move would only occur mid-year, when the European window reopens.

André made his Corinthians debut in September last year and has 24 appearances, four goals and two trophies, the Copa do Brasil and the Supercopa Rei. The club now have 10 days to prepare before hosting Coritiba at the Neo Química Arena on 11 March at 21:30 in the fifth round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.
