Corinthians could have Kaio César available for Wednesday’s Libertadores Group E second-round match against Independiente Santa Fe at Neo Química Arena, kick-off 21:30.

According to Meu Timao, the 22-year-old trained with the ball on Monday and has recovered from perifibrotic inflammation in his right hamstring, missing the last six games.

He started the 1-1 draw with Santos in the Campeonato Brasileiro, assisted Memphis Depay, then felt the issue and has not played since 15 March.

A call on his involvement will follow Tuesday’s final session under Fernando Diniz. He will be assessed and, if fit, named in the squad.

Signed on loan from Al-Hilal until the end of 2026, he went off after 15 minutes in a 3-0 win over Capivariano in the Paulista first phase. He later returned, then was injured again against Santos. He has three outings and two assists, including in the 2-0 Supercopa do Brasil win over Flamengo.

Corinthians remain light in attack. Memphis Depay is sidelined with a muscle injury in the front of his right thigh and Gui Negão has a grade two hamstring strain. In Memphis’s absence, Diniz has used Kayke with Yuri Alberto.

Corinthians lead Group E on three points, with Peñarol and Independiente Santa Fe on one. Platense are bottom after losing 2-0 to the Brazilians.
