Corinthians fans launch drive to aid Juiz de Fora tragedy victims

Throughout this Wednesday (25th), the Gaviões da Fiel, the main organized fan group of Corinthians, launched a campaign for donations in reference to the victims and people affected by the tragedy in Juiz de Fora, in the interior of Minas Gerais. The city has been experiencing the rainiest February in its history, going through a succession of floods and landslides.

The impact of the tragedy resulted in 16 deaths, 40 missing persons, and 440 displaced individuals. The campaign publicized by the Gaviões da Fiel has its social department as the main creator of the aid project for the people of Minas Gerais. The post by the organized fan group emphasizes how crucial the donation of items considered essential is to meet the needs of the people and families affected by the flood.

In the announcement, the Gaviões list various items, with the main ones being: mattress, mat, clothes, personal hygiene materials, drinking water, squeegees, brooms, towels, blankets, floor cloths, animal feed, and non-perishable food.

The collection point, for those interested in participating in the action, is at the Gaviões da Fiel headquarters, located at Rua Cristina Tomás, Bom Retiro neighborhood, in São Paulo, number 183. Materials can be received from Monday to Saturday, from 10 am to 6 pm (Brasília time).
