Corinthians marked the fifth day of their mid-season programme at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava on Monday morning under Fernando Diniz, with tactical and technical work to the fore, according to Meu Timao.
Players began in the gym with activation, then moved to Field two for warm-up. Diniz oversaw an opposed session focused on defensive transitions.
To finish, on Field one the group played small-sided games to sharpen pressing and quick decision-making.
There was a staff addition, fitness coach Marlon Muniz arrived from Vasco to join the club’s Health and Performance Department.
Midfielder André Carrillo also rejoined as pre-arranged, having been granted four extra days off after representing his country during the early June FIFA window. He totalled 84 minutes across two Peru games, a win over Haiti in Miami, United States, and a 3-1 loss to Spain in Puebla, Mexico.
The sole absentee remains forward Memphis Depay, the number 10, who is with the Netherlands at the World Cup and could feature on Monday against Morocco in the second phase, with a place in the last 16 at stake. Kick-off is 17:30 Brasília time.
Training continues until 12 July, when a friendly against Cascavel is set for 16:00 at Estádio Olímpico Regional, Cascavel, Paraná. The first competitive fixture after the pause is on 23 July at 19:30 against Remo at Neo Química Arena, the final round of the first half of the Campeonato Brasileiro.
