Corinthians went a month without a win after a 0-0 draw away to Chapecoense on Thursday night. The stalemate leaves Dorival Júnior six matches without a victory in charge.
Their last success came on 19 February, a 1-0 win at Athletico Paranaense in the Arena da Baixada. Since then, they have played six times for four draws against Portuguesa, Cruzeiro, Santos and Chapecoense, plus defeats to Novorizontino and Coritiba. Meu Timao notes one bright spot in Chapecó, the return of forward Yuri Alberto from a grade 2 left hamstring injury.
The Portuguesa result is recorded as a draw because normal time finished 1-1. Among Série A clubs, Corinthians now have the third longest winless run, behind Red Bull Bragantino on 32 days and Mirassol on 49 days.
During this sequence, Corinthians also failed to score in back-to-back matches, against Novorizontino and Coritiba, for the first time in 2026. Yuri Alberto had been sidelined for more than a month.
They will try to end the slide on Sunday against Flamengo at the Neo Química Arena, with kick-off at 20:30, in the eighth round of the Brasileirão.
