Corinthians on first Brasileirão streak, unbeaten vs Vitória continues

Corinthians visited Vitória on the afternoon of Saturday, October 25, at the Barradão Stadium, in a match valid for the 30th round of the Brazilian Championship, and ended up winning by a score of 1-0. The goal for the Alvinegro was scored by midfielder Charles in the final stretch of the second half. The three points lifted the Corinthians team to ninth place with 39 points (10 wins, nine draws, and 11 losses – 32 goals scored and 35 conceded).

With this result, Corinthians achieved an unprecedented feat in the 2025 Brasileirão: two consecutive victories. In the previous round, the Alvinegro defeated Atlético-MG at the Neo Química Arena in the 29th match, with a goal from midfielder Maycon. Additionally, the club from Parque São Jorge maintained an eight-year unbeaten streak against Vitória – four wins and four draws.

The last time Corinthians lost to Vitória was in August 2017, in the second round of the Brasileirão, when they were defeated 1-0 at the Neo Química Arena. Since then, the Alvinegro has scored 11 goals and conceded six. Throughout history, there are now 28 Corinthians wins, 16 draws, and only seven losses – 90 goals scored and 50 conceded.

In addition, Corinthians also maintained a five-game unbeaten streak against Vitória away from home. The last loss occurred in May 2026, at Barradão, in that year's Brasileirão, by 3-2. Since then, there have been five matches – three wins and one draw.

Corinthians also gained an advantage in the historical record of matches at Barradão. Now, the Alvinegro has five wins, seven draws, and four losses in 16 matches between the teams at the venue – 18 goals scored and 20 conceded. The Corinthians team also managed to beat Vitória twice in a row at the mentioned stadium for the second time in history: 1998 (2 x 3) and 2003 (1 x 2).

The club from Parque São Jorge also won an away match for the first time since September 13. Since then, there have been three games away from Itaquera: one draw (Internacional – 1 x 1) and two losses (Sport – 1 x 0 and Santos – 3 x 1).

After defeating Vitória by the minimum score, away from home, Corinthians will return to the field only next Sunday, November 2, also for the Brazilian Championship. The Alvinegro will host Grêmio at the Neo Química Arena at 4 pm (Brasília time), for the 31st round of the Brasileirão.
