Félix Torres is close to sealing a move to Internacional, with Corinthians allowing the centre-back to travel to Porto Alegre on Wednesday for medical tests and, if all goes to plan, to sign a one-year deal.
Globo.com reports that negotiations had been advanced for days, with only administrative details and a financial issue between Corinthians and the player to resolve.
The 29-year-old Ecuadorian visited CT Joaquim Grava to bid farewell to his team-mates.
The loan will see his wages split between Corinthians and Internacional, and it includes a purchase option at a fixed price that remains undisclosed.
Signed by Corinthians at the start of 2024 for 6.5 million dollars, about R$ 31 million at the time, Torres struggled to establish himself, making 80 appearances and scoring once.
Last year he conceded a penalty in the Campeonato Paulista final against Palmeiras and was sent off minutes later, after which he fell down the pecking order to become the last-choice centre-back.
