Corinthians' Supercopa do Brasil win over Flamengo delivered record free-to-air TV audiences on Sunday.

According to Meu Timao, the match at Mané Garrincha in Brasília, called by Luis Roberto on TV Globo, drew 25 points and a 43 per cent share in São Paulo. It was the best for the 16:04 to 18:14 slot since October 2024, when Flamengo met Corinthians in the Copa do Brasil semi-final.

The figures also bettered five of the previous six Supercopa finals and were 150 per cent up, plus 15 points, on the average of the prior four Sundays.

In Rio de Janeiro, the broadcast posted 26 points and a 48 per cent share, the highest for that slot since December 2025, when Flamengo faced Paris Saint-Germain in the Intercontinental Cup final. Among Sunday broadcasts, it was the best since 19 October 2025, when Flamengo met Palmeiras in the Brasileirão.

Compared with the four preceding Sundays, Rio’s audience rose 100 per cent, plus 13 points, and against the 2024 Supercopa edition it was up 86 per cent, plus 12 points.

Dorival Júnior’s side won 2-0 to claim Corinthians’ second Supercopa do Brasil title. Their first came in 1991, also against Flamengo. In 2026, the Parque São Jorge club still have chances in the Paulista, Brasileiro, Copa do Brasil and Libertadores.
