Corinthians Women hit R$3m ticket sales for fourth year running

On the morning of this Saturday, the 20th, the Corinthians Women's team played their last home game before heading to Argentina for the Copa Libertadores of the sport, where the Brabas will seek their sixth continental title. Until then, the team will still play two more games in Brazil, but as visitors, against São Paulo in the quarterfinals of the Copa do Brasil, and against Taubaté, for another round of the Campeonato Paulista.

So far, the team has much to celebrate in their home matches. Since the first game in March, there have been 18 matches hosting opponents in various competitions, such as the Supercopa do Brasil, the Campeonato Brasileiro, the Campeonato Paulista, and the Copa do Brasil, with good numbers of tickets sold and also in box office revenue.

In total, Corinthians has sold 146,651 tickets for their women's football games, of which at least 49,876 represented actual attendance. However, the number is higher, as attendance figures were not disclosed for five of these matches. The highlight was the Brasileirão final, where over 41,000 Corinthians fans packed the Neo Química Arena to cheer the Brabas towards their seventh championship against Cruzeiro.

The accumulated box office revenue has also been positive so far. In total, the Alvinegro has raised exactly R$ 3,084,961.50 for the department – this is the fourth consecutive season in which the club surpasses R$ 3 million in gross box office revenue with the sport. This year, so far, the average ticket price for Corinthians Women's games is R$ 21.04. The average revenue per game is R$ 171,386.75.

Corinthians is guaranteed at least two more home games until the end of the season, both in the first phase of the Campeonato Paulista against São Paulo and Realidade Jovem. At most, they could play four more, if they advance to the state tournament final and also reach the Copa do Brasil final, being drawn as the home team in both the semifinal and the final.
