Since joining in 2023, he has earned around USD 200 million a year in tax-free salary and bonuses, plus a USD 30 million signing bonus. At Al-Nassr he is paid the highest average annual salary of any sportsperson.

The report says he made over USD 550 million in salary between 2002 and 2023 while in Europe, and is now aged 40.

It adds that a decade-long Nike deal brings in USD 18 million annually, while agreements with brands such as Armani and Castrol add over USD 175 million.

The new contract is said to be worth over USD 400 million and to include a 15% stake in Al-Nassr, which is described as pushing him past the mark.

With more than 660 million Instagram followers, a sizeable property portfolio and multiple investments, Ronaldo is set to remain among the world’s top-earning athletes beyond retirement.
