Manchester United entertained Burnley at Old Trafford earlier today as they hoped to earn a positive result at home in the Premier League. The Red Devils made a good start to the game and managed to grab the lead in the 27th minute due to an unfortunate own goal from Josh Cullen. Ruben Amorim’s men went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.

The Mancunian giants were sloppy in the second half and conceded the equaliser in the 55th minute when Lyle Foster got his name on the scoresheet. However, Bryan Mbeumo restored Man United’s lead just a couple of minutes later before Jaidon Anthony equalised for Burnley in the 66th minute. The Red Devils were awarded a late penalty, which Bruno Fernandes converted in injury time. The contest finished with Man United securing a hard-fought 3-2 win at the Theatre of Dreams.
