Former Sunderland midfielder Dan Neil has joined Rangers as a free agent.
The former Black Cats star has joined the Scottish Premiership after undergoing his medical in recent hours.
An agreement has been finalised after Rangers pipped competition to the 24-year-old, with all formalities concluded.
Neil was in talks with Southampton last week and it appeared he was going to join them. Hull and West Ham United were also keen on him.
Rangers have already signed goalkeeper Ivor Pandur from Hull City in a £6 million deal and Neil has followed.
Neil spent the second-half of last season on loan at Ipswich Town, making 16 Championship appearances to help them secure Premier League promotion.
He brings plenty of experience to the table and could prove to be a huge addition as manager Derek McInnes looks to challenge for the title next season after replacing Danny Rohl.
More signings will be needed if Rangers are to have a realistic chance of winning the Premiership, and the fans will be eager for more new players to join the club.
