Dani Carvajal in tears as he bids farewell to Real Madrid and the Bernabeu

Dani Carvajal left the Bernabeu in tears on Saturday night as the Real Madrid captain, 34, bid farewell to the club where he came through the academy.
Real closed their season with a 4-2 win over Athletic Bilbao. According to L'Équipe, Kylian Mbappé and his team-mates paid tribute to Carvajal.
He exited the pitch for the final time through a guard of honour formed by team-mates and opponents, followed by an emotional ceremony after the match.
Across 13 senior seasons with Real, Carvajal made 450 appearances and lifted 27 trophies, including 6 Champions Leagues, 4 Liga titles and 2 Copas del Rey.
He scored and was named man of the match in the 2024 Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund, won 2-0. That year he also won the Euros with Spain and finished 4th in the Ballon d'Or voting, behind Rodri 1st, Vinicius Junior 2nd and Jude Bellingham 3rd.
An injury-hit campaign limited him to 22 matches and 1,001 minutes.
