FLW takes a look at three clubs that should look to sign Davis Keillor-Dunn from Wrexham this summer

Davis Keillor-Dunn shone in his one-and-a-half-year stint at Barnsley, earning a move to the second tier with Wrexham in January, but has struggled to make an impact since his switch to North Wales.

After securing back-to-back-to-back promotions all the way from the fifth tier to the second tier, Wrexham are looking to make history by becoming the first side in UK history to go all the way from the National League to the Premier League in consecutive promotions.

Phil Parkinson has done an outstanding job with the Red Dragons, and though some people will point to the financial advantage they have had over many clubs during their rise, it's still a remarkable feat whichever way you look at it.

The likes of Callum Doyle, Nathan Broadhead, and Lewis O'Brien signed for big fees, as owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney target Premier League football at the STōK Cae Ras as soon as possible.

However, there have been some disappointing additions along the way, such as Ryan Hardie, whose six months in North Wales were wholly uninspiring as he headed to Huddersfield Town on loan in January, whilst Davis Keillor-Dunn, who signed from Barnsley in January, has yet to make an impact.

The Englishman has barely featured since his switch from the Tykes, and could be on the move once again this summer, as FLW takes a look at three clubs that should look to sign the 28-year-old from Wrexham this summer.

Bristol City

Bristol City's immediate future is cast in doubt, with a sporting director and a permanent manager for next season yet to be decided upon.

Having broken their 17-year Championship play-off curse last season under Liam Manning, the Robins were hoping to replicate that feat this season with Gerhard Struber at the helm, but it wasn't to be.

Roy Hodgson, now 78, has taken charge at Ashton Gate for the remainder of the campaign, as the club prepares for next season, with their Championship status for next year all but guaranteed.

Whoever leads them into the new season should be looking to make some attacking additions, having failed to replace Anis Mehmeti, who left in January for Ipswich Town, with Keillor-Dunn being a viable option.

Able to play anywhere across the front line and adept at playing in either a back three or four system, Keillor-Dunn has proven he knows where the back of the net is at each level he has played at, and will be relishing the chance to prove himself in the Championship.

Bristol City could be the perfect fit for him, offering versatility and experience, and with him unlikely to cost too much, at 28, the Robins should pounce at the chance to sign him this summer, especially with Sinclair Armstrong's struggles in front of goal and Delano Burgzorg only on loan.

Cardiff City

Promotion hopefuls Cardiff City, whilst they will be pleased with how their season has panned out on the whole, will be disappointed to miss out on the third-tier title to Lincoln City.

A return to the Championship is nearly confirmed, with Brian Barry-Murphy doing an excellent job in his first year in the Welsh capital, and he will be looking to carry this momentum into next year.

With Omari Kellyman on loan and expected to return to Chelsea, Callum Robinson seeing his game time decrease, and with few other notable attacking options, additions in the final third will be imperative at Cardiff this summer.

Keillor-Dunn could be an excellent fit in South Wales, able to play on either flank or up top, offering an alternative to Yousef Salech and to Cian Ashford and Ollie Tanner on the flanks.

Cardiff will need someone proven to know where the back of the net is next campaign, and although Keiller-Dunn has had a quiet time since his move to Wrexham, his record with the likes of Mansfield Town and Barnsley speaks for itself, as the Bluebirds should make him a priority target.

Charlton Athletic

Charlton look increasingly likely to secure their status in the Championship for another year, with Nathan Jones orchestrating an excellent campaign at The Valley.

Heading into the season, Charlton undoubtedly had one of the weakest sides in the second tier on paper, and Jones delved into the market for improvements across the board, with League One proving to be a happy hunting ground for the Welshman.

The likes of Harvey Knibbs, Sonny Carey, and Charlie Kelman all shone in the third tier last year, and each joined the Addicks in the summer in a bid to make the step up to the Championship.

Keillor-Dunn has yet to make an impact in the second tier, though he hasn't really been given the chance, something which could all change if he were to join Charlton.

Lyndon Dykes and Tyreece Campbell have been Jones' preferred options up top for the last few weeks, with Miles Leaburn struggling for form and Matt Godden struggling for fitness.

Jones will likely be well aware of what Keillor-Dunn is capable of, and should he become available this summer, Charlton
