Jesuran Rak-Sakyi decided it in the 57th minute with a close-range header, as Stoke City beat Oxford United 2-1. It was his first goal for Stoke City.
Meeting a Sorba Thomas cross from the right, Rak-Sakyi guided a header from the right side of the six-yard box into the bottom left corner. The finish arrived after the restart and shifted control towards the hosts.
He remained a constant outlet before being withdrawn, driving at defenders and carrying Stoke up the pitch when Oxford tried to force territory.
Rak-Sakyi finished with three attempts on target from three, six successful dribbles, five touches in the box and 22 accurate passes. The numbers underlined how he combined penalty-area presence with clean ball use to tilt key moments.
Because Stoke City found him early and often on the right channel, his movement opened crossing lanes and ensured Oxford United's back line could not settle.
Stoke City rise to 13th in the Championship and visit Coventry City next. Oxford United remain 23rd and host West Bromwich Albion next.
