A kick-off date and time has been confirmed for City’s Adobe Women's FA Cup fourth round clash at AFC Bournemouth.
We travel to the south coast on Sunday 18 January for a 13:00 (UK) kick-off, with the Snows Stadium to host the tie.
Our opponents have enjoyed an impressive start to the campaign and currently sit top of the Women’s National League South table, the third tier of English football.
Bournemouth have picked up 26 points from a possible 30 this season and are unbeaten in the league for almost three years.
The Cherries beat Millbrook, Leyton Orient and Fulham to book their place in the fourth round; the furthest they’ve ever reached in the competition.
This will be the first meeting between the sides, with City facing third tier opposition in last season’s competition as well at this stage.
On that occasion, we beat Ipswich Town 3-0 thanks to goals from Jill Roord, Laura Coombs and Vivianne Miedema, before eventually bowing out in the semi-finals.
City last won the FA Cup in 2020, beating Everton after extra time at Wembley, and have lifted the famous trophy three times in our history.
