Corinthians lost 2-1 at Mirassol in the 14th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro on Sunday night, and fans delivered scathing player ratings with only Dieguinho escaping major criticism.
According to Meu Timao, in its Notas da Torcida poll, Dieguinho averaged 5.6 from 1,059 votes and was named player of the match. He came on after 29 minutes of the second half with Mirassol 2-0 up, then scored a consolation that briefly lifted hopes of a draw.
Goalkeeper Hugo Souza followed on 3.4 from 1,064 votes, with Kaio César next on 3.1. Alex Santana posted 2.7, Jesse Lingard 2.5 and Rodrigo Garro 2.3. Raniele, Gabriel Paulista and Matheus Bidu each received 2.2, with Zakaria Labyad on 2.1, Yuri Alberto 2.0, Breno Bidon 1.7 and Pedro Raul 1.5.
Below one, André Ramalho and Allan were rated 0.9, and Matheus Pereira was judged the poorest on 0.7 from 1,069 votes. Head coach Fernando Diniz received 2.3 from 1,040.
Referee Matheus Delgado Candançan was also heavily criticised. He sent off Edson Carioca early, then rescinded it after a VAR review, awarded a contentious penalty and did not give a foul on Rodrigo Garro in the move before Mirassol’s second goal. He was rated 0.2 from 1,031 votes.
The defeat leaves Corinthians on 15 points from 14 matches, down three places and back in the relegation zone in 17th. They now turn to the Libertadores, visiting Independiente Santa Fe at the Estádio El Campín on Wednesday at 21:30 in Group E.
