Corinthians beat Atlético-MG 1-0 at Neo Química Arena in the 17th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro. According to Meu Timao, ex-players Du Queiroz and Róger Guedes were in attendance.
Fernando Diniz’s side laboured for long spells but found a late winner through midfielder Zakaria Labyad to secure three valuable points.
Guedes shared his visit on Instagram before kick-off, and was shown on CazéTV’s broadcast during the match.
Signed from Shandong Taishan in mid-2021, Guedes led the attack until his August 2023 move to Al-Rayyan. He left with 126 appearances, 43 goals and nine assists. He once topped the Neo Química Arena scoring charts with 31 goals, a mark now surpassed by Ángel Romero on 43 and Yuri Alberto on 51, though his strike rate in Itaquera remains superior to the pair.
Du Queiroz, an academy graduate who rose through the under-20 and under-23 sides, also posted from the stands. He broke into the first team in 2021.
He left in 2023 as part of the deal with Zenit that ensured Yuri Alberto stayed permanently. Du played only 16 matches in Russia, then was loaned to Grêmio in 2024 and turned out for Sport last year. He is now contracted to Orenburg in Kazakhstan.
