Ederson to Manchester United ‘to cost €40-45m’, other reports say €48-50m | OneFootball

There is confidence Ederson will join Manchester United from Atalanta, though reports disagree on the final price. United have matched the personal terms he had previously agreed with Atletico Madrid.

Fabrizio Romano claims United expect to complete the transfer for €40-45m in total, while Tuttomercatoweb says the package would be around €48-50m including add-ons, and adds that a €45m fee plus performance-related bonuses has been discussed.

Either figure would represent a discount on Atalanta’s original €50m valuation, and still deliver a sizeable profit after paying €22.9m to sign him from Salernitana in summer 2022.

Atalanta sought significantly more last year, but are now more amenable with his deal running to June 2027.

United were also prepared to pay a higher fee than Atletico. The Brazil international turns 27 in July.
