Eintracht Frankfurt convene on emergency conference call to decide Dino Toppmöller’s fate | OneFootball

Kicker reports that Eintracht Frankfurt head coach Dino Toppmöller’s fate will be decided via a conference call this afternoon. Eintracht board-member-for-sport Markus Krösche declined to commit to keeping Toppmöller in place whilst lamenting the “repeated simple mistakes” the team keeps making following another disappointing Bundesliga performance last night. Kicker claims that Krösche and the club supervisory board are due to discuss the matter shortly. 

Will Dino Toppmöller be sacked?

The position of Get German Football News remains that – following last night’s 3-3 Bundesliga draw with Werder Bremen – the club cannot carry on with Toppmöller. As noted in last night’s tactical review, now constitutes the best time for Eintracht to shift course. The coach shoulders most of the responsibility for the repeated defensive errors committed by the team.

Matters will only get worse if Toppmöller is permitted to remain in place during a tough set of fixtures ahead. Moreover, SGE executive Krösche’s has painted himself into a corner when commenting on the team’s defensive lapses. The possibility that Krösche might be placed in the position of repeating his disdain once again after another poor performances forces Krösche’s hand.
