Construction has begun at Elland Road to revamp Leeds United’s stadium, with the project intended to lift it among Europe’s elite football venues.
Significant groundwork took place over the weekend and into this week. A team spokesperson stated that “enforcement works” are ongoing.

Major construction is scheduled after the current season, increasing capacity to 53,000 through expansion of the West and North Stands and targeted changes to the South Stand.
The development will turn Elland Road into a UEFA Category 4 stadium.
