Juventus are closely monitoring developments at Stamford Bridge as uncertainty grows around Enzo Maresca’s long-term future at Chelsea, according to TeamTalk. The Italian coach, who guided the Blues to a top-four finish and European success last season, is admired in Turin and could be targeted as a potential future manager of the Serie A giants.

While Chelsea’s progress under Maresca has been clear, their start to the new Premier League season has been less convincing. The team currently sit seventh after seven matches, five points off top spot. For all the optimism that accompanied their return to the Champions League, the campaign’s early signs have prompted reflection from both the manager and the club’s hierarchy.
Reports suggest Maresca has been frustrated by Chelsea’s failure to deliver one of his key summer transfer targets. “It was not long ago that murmurs began about Maresca’s long-term future at Chelsea being in doubt,” TeamTalk’s insider Dean Jones explained. “I have my own doubts about the validity of Chelsea having genuine worries about him now because I think this is a two-way street and he has his own doubts about whether the team is fully equipped to actually challenge for the league.”
That sentiment is understood to be shared internally, with Maresca believed to want “a couple more players of higher quality in key positions” to mount a credible title challenge. Chelsea’s recruitment team are reportedly assessing potential reinforcements ahead of the January transfer window.
The emerging twist is Juventus’ growing admiration for the 45-year-old tactician. While their current coach remains secure, TeamTalk claims that Maresca “will be considered the next time they need a new boss.” His deep understanding of Italian football and impressive tactical reputation have made him an appealing figure to those within the Juventus hierarchy.

“It’s definitely helpful for him to know that he’s being eyed by big clubs elsewhere,” Jones added. The situation creates a delicate balance for Chelsea: maintaining stability under a manager who has already delivered trophies while also meeting his demands to sustain progress.
Chelsea’s ownership are aware of the need for consistency after years of managerial turnover. Maresca’s Conference League and Club World Cup triumphs have restored belief at Stamford Bridge, yet the pressure of expectation remains relentless.
As TeamTalk suggested, “Chelsea need some stability at this moment and I do think they will strive to satisfy Maresca.” The next few months could prove decisive, particularly if Juventus’ interest evolves from admiration to approach.
Chelsea have enjoyed a period of renewed optimism under Maresca, whose methods have brought balance, structure and a sense of identity back to the team. His football has been progressive, his demeanour calm, and his silverware in the past year has reminded fans of the potential this project holds.
That is why whispers of Juventus interest will ring alarm bells. Many fans will see it as natural that Italian clubs would covet one of their own, particularly one who has succeeded in England. Yet the idea of losing another manager just as stability begins to form would be deeply frustrating.
Supporters understand Maresca’s frustrations over transfers. The squad remains young, raw and inconsistent in crucial moments. A couple of elite additions could indeed make the difference between being competitive and being contenders. If the board fails to back him in January, the risk of losing him increases.
For now, Chelsea fans will hope that his bond with the players and the project outweighs the lure of home. After years of change, Maresca represents something rare at Stamford Bridge: a plan that is working.
