The 2025/26 La Liga campaign could officially be over for Spanish giant Real Madrid tonight as they head to the city of their hated rival to clash with Espanyol.

Álvaro Arbeloa's Los Blancos will have to be at their very best away from home at RCDE Stadium if they are to delay Blaugrana's title celebrations, with Barça winning late at Osasuna yesterday to extend their lead at the top to 14 points.
Espanyol, who will hardly want to do any favors for their city rival, are hardly guaranteed of safety from the bottom three as things stand, and will want to maximise their point haul from now until the end of the season amid their current poor run of form.
Here is how the two sides will line up in Catalunya...
Can Real Madrid come away with all three points to put a temporary hold on Barça's title triumph, or will Periquitos reach across the aisle and help them lock the door?
