Estevao has hailed the impact of Chelsea’s Brazilian contingent in helping him settle in at Stamford Bridge as quickly as he has.

Returning for his first start since mid-February, Estevao Willian was superb on the wing. That made it the perfect time for a deep dive into his success, and that’s just what the i did.

In the piece, the ever humble Estevao notes how important it’s been to have countrymen like Joao Pedro and Andrey Santos at Chelsea.

“It’s been really important for me to have that community of Brazilian players. They’ve allowed me to settle in quicker than I expected and they’ve been figureheads for me, almost like family members for me here in England in a new space.”

As well as the Brazilians there are other Portuguese speakers too, and the average age of the group being so low must also help Estevao settle. He certainly looks at home when he’s on the pitch.
