Everton secured a comfortable 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest at Goodison Park, moving up to fifth in the Premier League and closing in on the top four.
The Toffees made a perfect start when a cross from Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall deflected off Nikola Milenkovic and flew into the net inside the opening two minutes.
The visitors struggled to respond, rarely threatening Jordan Pickford’s goal in the opening stages.
Thierno Barry finally ended his long wait for an Everton goal, doubling the lead in first-half stoppage time. The summer signing from Villarreal was set up by Iliman Ndiaye on a swift counter-attack and calmly rolled the ball past Matz Sels to give David Moyes’ side a commanding advantage.
Forest’s best chances came late in the first half, with Nicolas Dominguez’s effort blocked on the line by James Tarkowski and a deflected shot by Barry narrowly missing.
David Moyes' men sealed the win in the 80th minute when Dewsbury-Hall converted a precise strike into the bottom corner, capping a dominant performance.
The victory marked a fourth win in five league games for Everton, highlighting Moyes’ continued impact and keeping the Toffees firmly in the European mix. For former manager Sean Dyche, it was a frustrating return as Forest remained stay 17th, three points above relegation zone.
