FC Porto are back in the Champions League after two years away, returning for their 28th campaign in the competition.
According to O Jogo, only seven players in the current squad have previously played in the UEFA Champions League. The club were crowned national champions in 2025/26.
Only three clubs have featured more often in this format, Bayern Munich with 29, and Real Madrid and Barcelona with 30.
The two-year hiatus, unprecedented for Porto since 1992, cost them their podium place to Bayern Munich.
Their return now lets the club continue one of its most cherished European records.
