The 2026 World Cup is now fully locked in after FIFA have taken the final step of officially releasing the full match schedule for the upcoming summer showcase.

Coming in the wake of the controversial group stage draw in the U.S. capital, the full range of fixtures is now set in stone, with Mexico opening the tournament at the famous Estadio Azteca against South Africa.
World Cup holders Argentina will open their campaign against Algeria on 16 June, while tournament heavyweights England, France, and Spain will kick-start their respective journeys against Croatia (17 June), Senegal (16 June), and Cape Verde (15 June).
The United States and Canada can look forward to opening fixtures against Paraguay and "UEFA Path A" on 12 June.
Other notable opening fixtures include Brazil vs Morocco (13 June) and the Netherlands vs Japan (14 June).
