The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has unveiled the details for the second edition of the FIFA Series, scheduled for the March 2026 international window. Several national teams from different continents will take part in these friendly matches, including the Cameroon national team.
The matches will be played across several countries, with Australia serving as one of the main host nations. Cameroon will compete in a group that includes host nation Australia, China, and Curaçao. According to the official FIFA announcement, the Indomitable Lions have been drawn into Group A.
Bryan Mbeumo’s teammates, including the Manchester United player, will travel to Australia between March 23 and 31, where they will play two friendly matches: one against the Australian national team, and the other against either China or Curaçao.
This participation is part of Cameroon’s preparations for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, which will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
As a reminder, the inaugural edition of the FIFA Series was held in 2024 and was won by Croatia, who defeated Egypt in the final (4-2) at the New Administrative Capital Stadium.
