Leicester are advancing in talks to sign Swansea attacker Liam Cullen, reuniting him with Russell Martin, LeicesterMercury.co.uk reports. Martin has already brought Alex McCarthy to the King Power after their Southampton promotion.
Cullen is anticipated to complete a permanent move to bolster City's attack.
The obvious candidate is Harry Darling, a mainstay for Martin at MK Dons then Swansea. He joined Norwich in 2025 and made 35 appearances. A first-half regular under Alan Sheehan, he was later benched by Vitor Matos before starting eight of the final 11.
With Wout Faes, Ben Nelson, Harry Souttar and Caleb Okoli possibly leaving, defence could become a late-window priority. Finley Burns, out of contract next summer at Manchester City, has had spells with Swansea, Stevenage, Reading and Hull.
Cundle shone on loan at Swansea from Wolves, then played for Plymouth and Stoke. He joined Millwall for just over £1 million in January 2025 but started only 12 of 32 last term, and with Mathis Servais and Jenson Metcalfe signed, a move could depend on Oliver Skipp leaving.
With Martin still wanting a new No.9 and Leicester linked with Elijah Adebayo, Michael Obafemi at Burnley is another option who has struggled since leaving Swansea. He scored 12 Championship goals in 32 under Martin in his first season there, though their relationship had cooled before his exit.
Another option is Cameron Congreve, handed a senior debut by Martin at 18. The 22-year-old shone on loan at Bromley with 47 games, then played for Dundee in the SPL last season before returning this summer.
