One of the world's 30 richest clubs and Brazil's top revenue generator, Flamengo have posted the biggest transfer-window spend in their history, passing R$ 300 million. The return of Lucas Paquetá, the most expensive purchase in Brazilian football, accounts for more than R$ 250 million.
According to Globo.com, this window’s deals total R$ 341.4 million. The club also paid R$ eight million to Atlético de Madrid for Lino after winning the 2025 Libertadores and Brasileiro. Since the CBF introduced transfer windows in 2022, the previous high was a little over R$ 277 million in last year’s second window.
Paquetá’s fee, roughly R$ 260 million, represents more than 75% of the agreed outlay. An academy graduate, he was sold to Milan for €35 million at the end of 2018 and returns valued after his time in Europe, with a 2022 World Cup appearance on his CV.
Centre-back Vitão was the first arrival. After a near move to Cruzeiro, Flamengo struck directly with Internacional, forgave a €four point seven million Thiago Maia debt, and closed a €10.2 million deal. He has already made his debut in the 1-0 win over Vasco, the first outing for the starters this season.
Goalkeeper was another need. With Matheus Cunha joining Cruzeiro, Flamengo signed Andrew from Gil Vicente of Portugal for €one point five million to back up Argentine Rossi. Andrew previously played for Botafogo.
The figures reflect total agreed amounts regardless of when payments are made. They include permanent purchases of players already in the squad, exclude signing-on fees, extras and intermediaries, and only count bonuses once targets are met and paid. Exchange-rate movements may alter totals.
