Flamengo have halted negotiations with Red Bull Bragantino over Wallace Yan. According to Globo.com, the forward has returned to the club to train, though he is not working with the group.

Talks stalled in recent days. The forward publicly bade farewell to team-mates and the club, then had to return amid the impasse. The farewell also caused internal discomfort. He was at Ninho do Urubu on Friday and on Saturday.

Wallace Yan is out of the Supercopa do Brasil and will not travel to Brasília. Flamengo will have the full squad available and will even take injured midfielder Saúl to be part of the group. The youngster stayed in Rio de Janeiro and has also trained away from the club to maintain fitness.

The clubs had discussed a fee of around 10 million euros, about R$ 62 million, with Flamengo keeping a percentage of the 20-year-old. The Rio side say the proposal changed when formalised on paper.

Flamengo argue Bragantino altered the payment structure, extending and changing the instalment dates. Bragantino consider that the schedule had been agreed across the talks. Flamengo president Bap did not approve the model.

After the Portuguesa match in the Carioca, he spoke in a farewell tone in the dressing room. Later, after facing Bangu, he confirmed he was leaving.

The attacking midfielder shone in the academy under Filipe Luís in 2024 and was promoted when the coach took charge. Last year he played 33 games, scored seven goals and provided four assists. He was part of the Libertadores and Brasileiro title-winning squad and travelled to Qatar for the Intercontinental Cup.
