Flamengo face a punishing run up to the World Cup pause, with their last match on 31 May. Across the next two months they have 18 fixtures and are due to cover an estimated 27,660 km across the Brasileirão, Libertadores and Copa do Brasil.

According to Globo.com, eight games will require travel, including a 6,406 km trip to Cusco. Distances are calculated as round trips from Rio de Janeiro and are estimates while logistics are finalised.

Inside Brazil, the longest leg is to Grêmio at 2,262 km. Other journeys include Athletico-PR at 1,358 km, Vitória at 2,442 km, Atlético-MG at 742 km with 656 by air and 86 by road, and Red Bull Bragantino at 928 km with 686 by plane and 242 by bus.

The most demanding spell falls between 29 April and 7 May, with successive Libertadores away ties. Flamengo travel 3,936 km to face Estudiantes, then make the 9,586 km haul to Independiente Medellín.

One more game could yet be added, as the fourth round of the Brasileirão meeting with Mirassol has been postponed with no new date. That fixture will be at the Maracanã, while Fluminense involves no travel at all.
