João Neves could become a central figure in Real Madrid’s looming presidential race, with Florentino Pérez plotting marquee moves this summer.

Cadena SER reports that Pérez is a keen admirer of PSG midfielder João Neves, a Benfica academy product, and has him on his shortlist, alongside two further targets. It adds that Neves is set to contest the Champions League final before joining Portugal for the 2026 World Cup. It also says the market is already stirring behind the scenes at Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atlético.

Alongside preparations to bring José Mourinho back to the Santiago Bernabéu, Pérez is seeking to strengthen his bid for the presidency with ambitious summer objectives.

Neves is valued at 110 million euros.

This season for PSG he has played 37 matches, 21 in Ligue 1, 13 in the Champions League, one in the Intercontinental Cup, one in the Coupe de France and one in the French Super Cup. Across 2,612 minutes he has recorded seven goals and four assists.
