France held a minute’s silence at training in memory of Éric Roy, the Brest head coach who died on Wednesday aged 58.

According to L'Équipe, the squad returned to work the day after their 3-1 win over Senegal on Tuesday. They formed a circle on the pitch at Bentley University in Waltham, with staff and attending media also observing the silence.

Earlier, Didier Deschamps, Philippe Diallo and Guy Stéphan expressed their sadness and paid tribute.

Deschamps had presented Roy with the 2023-2024 coach of the season award.

Stéphan previously managed Roy for two years at Lyon.
